Multi-Facts : Multiples of 5
Your student has made it to the fives, the last of the "Basics" – they deserve a high "five!" Their diligence and determination has laid the ground work for success in future mathematical applications. Once they've mastered the fives, they'll be ready to graduate to the "Meanies."
Learning math is a sequential task – it goes in order. If your child is struggling with learning multiplication, then they may struggle with the skills they learn afterwards like fractions and long division. Students need reassurance that with hard work, helpful tricks and practice, they can learn their multiplication facts. Remind them that they are still good in math, and this is a skill like riding a bike. It takes time.
